Meet The Staff of the Granisle Visitor Centre

Granisle Visitor Centre staff, have met travellers from all over the world. Many are from within BC and Canada, but they've also chatted with guests from as far away as Brazil, Germany, Italy, France and Holland. It's one of the things that keeps their job interesting. Tourists stop in for a variety of reasons, but the biggest draw to the area is the lake that Granisle is famous for. When tourists do drop in, staff are quick to point out all of the things to do in Granisle, particularly outdoors, such as the hiking trails, places to take an ATV and sweet spots for fishing. Guests are reminded that Granisle is a town for all seasons with its mild winters.

Visitors are often stunned by the spectacular log building that houses the centre, which was built in 1986 with an Expo grant. In addition to holding the Granisle Visitor Centre, it also provides a home base for the Crafter's Hut, a shop which carries hand-crafted items made by local artisans. It also holds numerous artifacts and displays that tell the story of Granisle's history and origin.

Our staff have a deep love for the Granisle area and are willing to share their knowledge with travellers. They particularly appreciate the vast nature that surrounds them. The local lifestyle in Granisle calms the soul, the pace is casual, relaxed and friendly.
